Houghton Lake Resorter | Dr. Stacey Gedeon launches new healthcare consulting, professionalcoaching business

Stacey R. Gedeon, Psy.D., a seasoned, licensed health psychologist with more than 25 years of experience, recently announced the launch of SRG Healthcare Consulting and Professional Coaching, PLLC, a new consulting and coaching practice dedicated to helping professionals, teams and organizations thrive.

Drawing on extensive experience as a clinician, leader, and consultant in the healthcare industry, Dr. Gedeon offers personalized coaching and consulting services designed to enhance performance, foster emotionally intelligent leadership and improve overall well-being.

While the concept of coaching is not new, she said, “This is a new idea for a lot of people.”

According to the International Coaching Federation, she said, “Coaching involves partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”

Dr. Gedeon’s expertise lies in healthcare, but she is equally passionate about assisting anyone committed to personal growth and achieving their full potential.

“I’m thrilled to bring my expertise in psychology, leadership and healthcare to support individuals and organizations in overcoming challenges and unlocking their full potential,” she said. “My goal is to help professionals and leaders achieve success on their own terms, whether through leadership development, improving team dynamics or navigating personal and professional transitions.”

She said she not only provides consulting for healthcare professionals, but also coaching for anyone “committed and motivated to get help for work-life balance and health and wellness goals,” for example. “It can be for any professional.”

Typically, clients meet every other week virtually, either via Zoom or over the phone, she said. She can meet individuals or groups, she said.

A group of five to six people may consist of working moms, for example, who would like to set boundaries at work or at home.

“There’s so much benefit learning from one another,” she said.

Her hours are not limited to business hours. Some people may meet for four to six or eight sessions, she said, while others may meet on an ongoing basis to “figure out their goals and live a life consistent with their values.”

Services offered by Dr. Gedeon include professional coaching, (one-on-one or team coaching) that empowers healthcare professionals and leaders to achieve their personal and professional goals; and healthcare consulting aimed at improving employee performance, increasing provider retention and fostering innovation within healthcare organizations.

By addressing organizational challenges and developing strategic solutions, Dr. Gedeon helps healthcare organizations improve patient outcomes and financial performance.

Among the benefits of professional coaching are enhanced leadership skills (helping healthcare leaders develop their decision-making, communication and conflict resolution skills), burnout prevention (equipping clients with tools to manage workloads and create sustainable work-life balance), career growth (to facilitate career transitions, such as seeking advancement, navigating change or looking for greater fulfillment) and increased work-life balance and well-being.

Benefits of healthcare consulting include enhanced operational efficiency, improved patient outcomes and increased provider retention, strategic growth and innovation, stronger leadership and team dynamics, financial health and adaptation to industry changes.
